This new school is being constructed on the site of the old St Bernard’s Hospital. It’s classrooms have been designed round an environmentally controlled atrium and has full sized gymnasiums and other sport facilities. Sustainable solutions to its energy consumption has been carefully considered and the school will make use of solar energy, free heating and cooling and automatic opening windows will optimise its environment and keep energy use to a minimum.
